The Health Center has contracted with Worldtek Travel to provide travel booking services to Health Center personnel. Airline reservations, ground transportation and lodging reservations for Health Center related business travel may be made thru Worldtek.

Note: Worldtek's Corporate Call Center will have 1 central telephone number for all our clients to call into.

The new toll free telephone number is 800-458-1603, or direct local dial 203-773-6430.

To better serve the needs of all our corporate clients, each caller will be prompted to select from a specialized list of menu options. This will help ensure that the client has been connected to a Worldtek corporate staff member that will be able to service their needs. Below is an outline of the menu of options they will hear:

Press 1 for Domestic Reservations (North America and the Caribbean)
Press 2 for Travel to an International destination
Press 3 for Online Booking Tool (i.e. "Trip Manager," or "Get There")
Press 9 for Customer Service Issue
Press 0 for Receptionist

Options 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be reserved and used for corporate group travel/events as needed.

In order to reduce errors when booking airline tickets or other travel arrangements with Worldtek it is important to indicate that you are from the UConn Health Center – Farmington Campus.

Note: After booking airline tickets, Worldtek will either e-mail or fax you the flight confirmation. Please review them carefully upon receipt of the confirmation. This will prevent any errors that might occur during the booking process and also prevent the possibility of change or cancellation of the flight.

For both paper and electronic airline tickets it it important to retain all original air ticket documentation as this documentation will be required for reimbursement. For paper tickets please retain the passenger receipt (last ticket copy). For electronic tickets either the original receipt or original boarding pass and a copy of the itinerary showing amount paid will be required for reimbursement.

Effective July 1st 2003, airline tickets can not be booked or charged to UConn Health Center accounts through Worldtek Travel for individuals under Personal Service Agreements until the agreement has been fully executed. The executed agreement must be faxed to the Bursar's Office within 24 hours of booking tickets.

Effective June 2, 2003, the airlines have passed a new restriction that will prohibit the voiding of non-refundable tickets after after 24 hours. Changes to non-refundable tickets after 24 hours may result in a higher fare and $100.00 change fee.

Airline tickets (paper and e-tickets) cannot be mailed directly to the traveler or to the department by Worldtek. For electronic tickets the Travel Office will mail the ticket to the individual whose name is on the itinerary. For paper tickets the Travel/Bursars Office will notify the traveler and preparer upon receipt of the paper tickets from the agency. They should be picked up at the Travel/Bursars office (three or four days before the trip) by the traveler or designee. Proper identification will be required.
